With 3 physical warehouses, the Savannah Distribution Center processes approximately 12 million units, serving 212 retail stores and over 962 wholesale points of sale annually. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of your assigned department(s) within the Distribution Center, ensuring smooth workflows, staff optimization, and adherence to company policies and safety standards. As an Operations Supervisor, you will lead a team of associates to achieve departmental goals, maintain productivity, and meet operational deadlines. This position requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. You will play a key role in fostering collaboration, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required); Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2–3 years of supervisory experience in a retail, logistics, or distribution environment.
  • Working experience with SAP or other WMS (preferred).
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities, with a proven track record of success in supervisory roles.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to foster collaboration across teams.
  • Technical and analytical proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and tasks with a strict focus on deadlines and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Flexibility to work 40–45 hours per week, with the expectation of overtime as needed.
  • Availability and willingness to work any shift as required to meet business needs.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations within assigned department(s) to ensure seamless execution of workflows.
  • Provide clear direction and leadership to associates, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
  • Monitor and address accuracy, productivity, and attendance issues using the progressive discipline program.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet operational demands and adjust workloads as needed.
  • Conduct regular observations of team performance and provide feedback to ensure operational excellence.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement process enhancements within assigned department(s).
  • Utilize SAP EWM or other WMS proficiently to monitor and manage business operations.
  • Provide daily and weekly performance updates to the Operations Manager, including key metrics and progress toward goals.
  • Provide thorough training for new hires and temporary staff, ensuring they are equipped to meet performance expectations.
  • Cross-train team members in key positions to ensure flexibility during volume spikes, absenteeism, and vacations.
  • Support the development of associates by providing coaching and opportunities for skill enhancement.
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment by enforcing all HUGO BOSS rules and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures across all teams.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to take on new challenges and expand beyond the current role.
  • Adapt to changes within assigned department(s) and the Distribution Center as a whole.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively in a rapidly changing environment to meet organizational goals.
