About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is the Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities across two primary areas: (1) fleet, equipment, and facility needs for the moving company’s operations, and (2) the daily work of maintenance technicians serving Immanuel Living At Home members household. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant operations while maintaining high-quality service standards for residents, staff, and customers.

Requirements

  • The employee must be at least 18 years of age, as the position operates potentially hazardous equipment.
  • The employee must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and be able to work under time and/or deadline pressures.
  • Specific vision abilities required of this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks as needed.
  • 3 to 5 years of maintenance experience
  • Current Montana Driver’s License in good standing

Nice To Haves

  • 2 + years of supervisory or team lead experience preferred
  • Experience in Senior Living, multi family housing or regulated residential environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, schedule, and support maintenance technicians, ensuring timely completion of work orders and preventative maintenance tasks for Immanuel Living At Home Members.
  • Oversee maintenance support for the moving company, including fleet upkeep, maintenance, and equipment repairs.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate team members; assist with recruitment.
  • Coordinate daily assignments and ensure adequate staffing for both moving operations and facility needs.
  • Troubleshoot and assist technicians with complex repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building systems.
  • Ensure moving trucks, dollies, lifts, and warehouse equipment are inspected, maintained, and safe for use.
  • Support Immanuel Living At Home maintenance requests related to resident homes, common areas, grounds, and life-safety systems.
  • Enforce OSHA, DOT (if applicable), and company safety standards across all sites.
  • Monitor and document all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs according to regulatory guidelines for senior living environments.
  • Maintain proper documentation for fleet maintenance, permits, and service schedules.
  • Coordinate with moving operations leadership to schedule fleet downtime and equipment availability.
  • Work with Directors to prioritize facility projects and resident service needs.
  • Manage inventory of parts, tools, and supplies; ensure cost-effective purchasing and vendor coordination.
  • Recommend improvements to processes, scheduling, safety practices, and preventative maintenance plans.
  • Provide responsive, respectful service to residents, families, and customers.
  • Communicate clearly with moving staff and leadership to ensure expectations are met.
  • Handle escalated maintenance concerns with professionalism and urgency.
