About The Position

The Operations Supervisor at TJX Companies is responsible for overseeing the efficient, productive, and safe operation of a department within the Distribution Center. This role involves managing daily activities, ensuring high levels of quality and service, and maintaining a motivated workforce. The supervisor will spend a significant amount of time on the floor, directing associates and fostering a positive work environment while meeting production requirements.

Requirements

• Previous experience managing diverse teams of 20+ associates.
• 4-6 years of experience in a supervisory role.
• High School graduate; College preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Strong communication, coaching, and development skills.
• Proficient in math and PC skills.
• Proven ability to motivate teams and manage conflict.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a distribution center environment.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems.

Responsibilities

• Total responsibility for operating an efficient, productive, and safe department.
• Ensure quality and service levels are maintained.
• Spend a minimum of 90% of the total shift on the floor reviewing orders and directing associates.
• Manage day-to-day activities within the department, including planning, flow, and resource allocation.
• Develop and motivate associates to maintain high morale and company culture.
• Build effective relationships with business partners, including management and human resources.
• Communicate effectively with associates and management to enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping standards.
• Review practices and processes for constant improvement and make recommendations.
