Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily activities of maintenance staff and contractors.
  • Play a key role in planning and supervising departmental programs, training, and safety procedures.
  • Select, evaluate, and provide constructive feedback to employees during performance reviews.
  • Confer with the Manager and Maintenance Director regarding objectives, policies, and long-term programs.
  • Ensure operational management aligns with established goals.
  • Develop and execute work schedules for staff.
  • Guarantee timely completion of various maintenance tasks focusing on interdepartmental activities and building maintenance services.
  • Assist in evaluating, preparing, and managing contracts with outside services.
  • Verify contractor work completion and quality.
  • Approve invoices for payment.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in business or a related field, or equivalent experience in the construction trades paired with journeyman supervisory experience.
  • Strong understanding of occupational hazards and safety protocols.
  • Proficiency with computers and applicable software programs.
  • Thorough understanding of administrative management, research techniques, and report presentation.
  • Valid California driver's license.
