About The Position

The position involves managing overall workflows and coordinating work assignments within the Supply Chain Management department at Mayo Clinic. The role is responsible for personnel-related issues such as recruitment, performance appraisals, staff development, scheduling, payroll, and addressing resource requirements. The individual will lead and participate in various operational and technology projects, collaborating with internal and external suppliers to enhance work processes. The position also includes consulting on procurement, payment processes, and vendor management, while implementing solutions to improve financial and operational performance across Mayo Clinic and MCHS sites. The role requires facilitating task forces to address Supply Chain Management issues and ensuring compliance with Mayo policies in procurement activities. Additionally, the individual will conduct research and analysis to identify best practices and facilitate change management while promoting diversity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of six (6) years' relevant experience in supply chain, health care, finance, accounting, business, communication or systems, including three (3) years' previous lead/supervisor experience.
  • Or, Master's degree with a minimum of three (3) years' relevant experience in supply chain, health care, finance, accounting, business, or systems, including one (1) year previous lead/supervisor experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, continuous improvement, customer service, analytical experience.
  • Strong personal computer, communication, project management, and team building skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with a variety of computer systems (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Lawson AP/MM modules, Oracle, etc.) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage overall workflows and work assignment coordination.

  • Manage the procurement process for supplies, equipment, and services.
  • Develop and maintain programs for financial reporting and compliance.
  • Contribute to supply chain integration and financial performance.
  • Make purchasing decisions and analyze purchasing data.
  • Represent Mayo Clinic at industry conferences.
