Position: Operations Supervisor (Shipping) - Second shift Department: Operations Work Location: Arlington TN, 100% Onsite. 2nd shift (Hours: 3 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.) - (Monday-Friday)

Requirements

  • Ability to walk and move for long distance.
  • Ability to sit at desk with repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to withstand warehouse settings (varying temperatures).
  • High school diploma/GED.
  • 2+ years of supervisory and/or leadership experience.
  • Management, presentation, project, problem solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Shipping/Receiving, Bar code scanning experience.
  • Experience with MS Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Windows.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekend hours as needed.
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Manhattan WMS, Manhattan Active.
  • Experience with Process Flow.

Responsibilities

  • Assure processes, accountability, and performance is maintained on a consistent basis in Case Pick and Replenishment Departments.
  • Oversee the quality and expectations of Helen of Troy's vendor compliance log.
  • Manage overall daily inbound and outbound operations of a business unit
  • Mentor, develop, and train staff
  • Troubleshoot and correct vendor compliance issues while minimizing chargebacks and provide root cause analysis and corrective feedback.
  • Monitor and report daily goals and objectives to management such as daily workload, daily dollar, labor reports, etc.
  • Follows a routine based on established procedure
  • Analyzes facts to determine action based on standard practice and procedures
  • Makes decisions based on cases not previously covered by devising new methods or modifying current procedures using general knowledge of field and company policies.
  • Uses creative efforts to make decisions on highly technical cases or involved projects with little precedent, requiring broad conceptual judgment, initiative, and evaluation of complex factors.
  • Participates in formulating and executing divisional plans and administering policies, objectives and programs.
  • Participates in highly creative work on abstract research problems in highly technical areas requiring advanced knowledge.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
