About The Position

General Dynamics Electric Boat, the nation's premier designer and builder of nuclear submarines, is seeking an Operations Supervisor to take part in building the most complex product in the world. TheOperations Supervisor - Pipemust possess an energetic and positive attitude and be willing to change and develop as requirements of assigned tasks dictate. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of pipe trade (plumbing, pipe welding, pipefitting) experience
  • Able and available to work all assigned shifts and extended hours, as business needs dictate
  • Proficiency in blueprint and drawing interpretation
  • Possess strong PC skills including proficiency with MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the Department of Defense

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of supervisory/leadership experience in a relevant field
  • 5+ years pipe trade experience
  • Current or previous working leader
  • Vocational/College/Technical school or Apprentice Programs
  • Relevant education or training
  • MDU training
  • Navy/military

Responsibilities
