About The Position

As an Operations Supervisor, you will manage daily manufacturing and production operations to meet safety, quality, and efficiency goals. You will develop a deep understanding of can components and manufacturing equipment, and demonstrate proficiency in SPC, basic quality management tools, and software. Your role will involve overseeing quality control and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring all safety programs and plant policies are followed, mentoring and motivating your workforce, managing resources, labor records, and warehouse product flow, and collaborating across all levels of the plant to deliver results in a 24/7 industrial manufacturing environment. This position also offers the opportunity to grow into a future operation or manufacturing supervisory role at other Silgan locations nationwide.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher.
  • Supervisory experience in manufacturing, production, or plant operations.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to spend 40% or more of the time on the production floor and work flexible hours.
  • Talent to make public presentations in small and large group settings.
  • Desire to grow into larger operations or manufacturing management roles, including relocating to other plants across the country.
