Responsibilities: Assign, monitor, and balance the ongoing workload of the assigned staff, utilizing the CMMS. Monitor and ensure that the assigned facility/facilities complies with the requirements of licensing, regulatory, and accreditation bodies. Assist in conducting inspections of work to ensure quality and conformity to building code standards and adherence to policies and procedures, and to ensure adequate staff productivity. Performs a full array of Facilities Engineering maintenance and/or repairs an estimated 20-40% of work time. Requirements: Work requires, in addition to the knowledge acquired through a general high school education: the ability to read blueprints and specifications, use and interpret various testing meters, gauges, and instruments for electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration equipment; operate various power tools, hand tools, and carpentry shop machinery and knowledge of safety procedures and practices - acquired in the first two years of technical school or with two additional years of work experience beyond the experience requirement listed below in lieu of technical school. Work requires three and five years' progressively more responsible experience in order to acquire the ability to oversee the operations of the assigned region. Position requires proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; computerized maintenance management system.
