About The Position

The Operations Supervisor - Device Assembly is responsible for leading multiple device assembly lines during the night shift at Lilly's new facility in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina. This role involves ensuring that manufacturing lines are adequately staffed with trained employees, maintaining safety and quality standards, and developing the technical expertise of the team. The supervisor will also manage direct reports, oversee training plans, and support site leadership in building a diverse and capable organization.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of prior pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to work 12-hour days on a rotating shift.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Legally authorized to be employed in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory experience (2-3 years).
  • Experience with highly automated equipment.
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems and electronic batch release.
  • Experience motivating teams in a safety-first and quality-always environment.
  • Familiarity with Root Cause Analysis.
  • Strong organizational and motivational skills.
  • Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback.
  • Basic computer skills (desktop software).
  • Solid understanding of FDA guidelines and CGMP standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead shift operations for multiple device assembly lines.
  • Ensure adequate staffing and training for operators on manufacturing lines.
  • Develop training plans and ensure compliance with CGMP guidelines for direct reports.
  • Act as both administrator and technical leader for operations, demonstrating knowledge of procedures and quality systems.
  • Support site leadership in delivering operational procedures and quality processes for Device Assembly.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and support HSE goals.
  • Communicate with area manager regarding quality, equipment, and operational issues.
  • Create a culture of 100% compliance with procedures.
  • Coach, develop, and evaluate performance of operators.
  • Investigate deviations or operational quality issues.
  • Execute shop floor operations in line with business plans and operational standards.
