About The Position

Primary Responsibilities: Lead and supervise SBU, NBU, and external contract personnel supporting chassis and brake dynamometer testing operations Plan, prioritize, and assign work orders to meet vehicle program milestones and development schedules Manage timekeeping, attendance, and labor reporting in compliance with corporate policies and union labor agreements Support employee training, certification, performance management, and workforce development Serve as the primary interface with HR, Labor Relations, union, medical, and safety organizations Develop and manage preventive maintenance, facility improvements, and capital equipment planning Coordinate parts, material, vehicle logistics, and trip support for on- and off-site testing activities Establish and monitor KPIs, prepare management reports, and lead continuous improvement initiatives Champion safety and quality culture through audits, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Operations Management, or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in automotive testing, validation, manufacturing, or laboratory operations
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience
  • Experience managing union and salaried workforces
  • Working knowledge of chassis systems, brake testing, and validation environments
  • Experience managing facilities and equipment maintenance programs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing brake dynamometer operations
  • Familiarity with Stellantis systems (Teamcenter, PSAP, internal reporting tools)
  • Experience working within UAW/SBU labor agreements
  • Capital planning and project management experience
  • Lean / Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement certification
  • Experience supporting EV platforms and advanced propulsion systems
