The Pratt & Whitney Columbus Engine Center has an immediate opening for an Operations Supervisor. The principal duty of this position is to provide supervision, leadership, and support to the business, ensuring smooth and efficient operations for jet engine disassembly processes. The person in this role will continually search for opportunities to enhance the production processes and the product using a variety of problem-solving techniques, effective interpersonal and communication skills, along with technical competency. A successful Supervisor will motivate, coach, and encourage employees to optimize career development and personal satisfaction.

Requirements

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of experience including general supervisor experience, management and manufacturing.
  • An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • An Associates degree and 7 years of experience.
  • A High School diploma/GED and 9 years of experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace MRO experience

Responsibilities

  • Meet business metrics goals as defined for each cell (Cost, Quality, Delivery, EH&S). Manage Capital and Expense Budgets for assigned cell. Meet the schedule, plan and execute contingency plans.
  • Lead process improvement opportunities using continuous improvement to enhance quality, decrease process cycle time and reduce operational costs.
  • Implement root-cause corrective actions in a timely manner to ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Manage all aspects of assigned hourly workforce: (Time & attendance, time off, rewards, vouchering, training, communications, etc.) Conduct performance and skill review processes for Operations Technicians, Powerplant Mechanics, and Inspectors. Administer policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Demonstrates commitment to the EH&S program by complying with all policies and procedures, completing all required training, and supporting all applicable committee activities.
