What the job involves: We are currently seeking a Summer Intern in Operations to join our Life Sciences Business Unit. In this role, you will learn facilities management operations, cross-functional business collaboration, and data analysis methodologies within Life Sciences environments. As a Summer Intern in Operations at JLL, you will:

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor's degree program in Business, Engineering, Facilities Management, Operations Management, or related field
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience: Including research, analytics, and/or operations support
  • Interest in facilities management: Life Sciences operations, or commercial real estate
  • Strong collaboration skills: Ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams across different geographical locations and business functions
  • Technical proficiency: Working knowledge of SmartSheet, Tableau, Microsoft Office Suite, and database systems (training provided for JLL-specific tools)
  • Organizational skills: Strong attention to detail essential for facilities operations support
  • Permanent US work authorization required

Responsibilities

  • Facilities Management Support: Shadow experienced Facilities Management professionals to understand daily operations, maintenance protocols, and client service delivery in Life Sciences environments
  • Cross-Functional Learning: Meet regularly with HSSE, Quality, Performance Management, Human Resources, and Brokerage teams to understand integrated service delivery
  • Data Analysis and Research: Conduct research, perform detailed analyses, and process facilities-related data to support operational decision-making and identify improvement opportunities
  • Communication and Project Support: Assist in preparation of operational reports, client presentations, and documentation while supporting special projects across multiple business functions
  • Professional Development: Stay current on Life Sciences operations trends, participate in training sessions, and support ad-hoc duties for broader business exposure
