Requirements

• Basic knowledge in accounting (debits/credits), reconciliation, and auditing.
• Preferable background in banking, with experience as a retail teller or similar roles.
• Ability to multitask and handle multiple windows/programs for proofwork.
• Motivated and adaptable, with the capacity to learn and grow within the role.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in banking (1 year preferred).
• Experience with debits & credits (1 year preferred).

Responsibilities

• Handle reclamations and Fed debits, including responding to notifications from the US Treasury regarding deceased customers.
• Manage internal General Ledger (GL) debits and apply losses where necessary.
• Conduct thorough research and documentation of reclamation processes.
• Ensure annual audits are completed accurately, tying back to Treasury requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Fed debits personnel and Document Direct for statement research.
• Utilize tools like Snag-it for screenshots and Office Connect for repository management.
• Mail out checks, reclamation forms, and handle mail.
• Perform data entry and navigation in Excel, including using pre-formulated sheets for batching systems.
