About The Position

This Operations Specialist position supports business operations within the Department of Pediatrics: Marcus Center Division. The role involves identifying and resolving issues, composing and editing communication materials, researching and compiling information for presentations, and potentially participating in budget preparation and expense monitoring. The specialist will also design and prepare reports, recommend and implement process improvements for business operations activities, and may represent the business unit through interaction with external constituencies. Key administrative duties include developing and preparing meeting materials and agendas for one or more executives, maintaining calendars, prioritizing meeting requests, handling logistics for meetings and special events, and organizing and archiving meeting materials for future reference. The role also requires reviewing and responding to emails and correspondence, referring requests to colleagues, and serving as a liaison to key stakeholders and business partners to research issues and facilitate appropriate actions or resolve concerns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications or a related field and three years of office administration, project management and/or budget management experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Proficiency with various personal computer software applications.
  • Ability to use various systems to support business operations.
