About The Position

We are looking for a talented individual… To join our team as an Operations Specialist. The Operations Specialist provides day‑to-day operational support to ensure the smooth delivery of programs and projects. This role supports internal teams through data management, reporting, coordination, and process adherence, while also handling routine customer and stakeholder communications. The Operations Specialist works closely with Program Managers to track metrics, maintain accurate records, and support ongoing program needs. While primarily internal‑facing, the role includes regular interaction with customers by phone and email. Due to client requirements, only candidates who are full‑time residents of the State of Michigan are eligible for this position.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in data entry, operations support, customer service, or a related role.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically with Excel.
  • Experience supporting data analysis, reporting, or operational processes.
  • Strong attention to detail with good organizational and documentation skills.
  • Comfortable communicating with customers and internal teams in a professional manner.
  • Ability to follow established processes and handle sensitive or confidential information appropriately.
  • Due to client requirements, only candidates who are full‑time residents of the State of Michigan are eligible for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with energy efficiency programs, utilities, or a related industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and analyze basic program data.
  • Support the Program Manager with tracking program metrics.
  • Prepare routine client and internal reports and communications.
  • Enter, update, and track customer data in internal systems.
  • Communicate with customers about program eligibility by email and phone.
  • Support team workflows by meeting deadlines and following established processes.
  • Attend team or client meetings to share updates and follow up on action items.
  • Assist with other tasks as program needs evolve.
