About The Position

At WM, the Operations Specialist for Collections provides advanced clerical and administrative support to departmental Managers and assists in coordinating all aspects of daily operations. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving safety, service, and operational issues, maintaining and distributing department-related information on a daily basis, communicating with other supervisors and managers about operational issues, and acting as the proxy for KRONOS for all daily updates for drivers and helpers. The specialist is also responsible for using Microsoft Suite and additional software tools to manage various daily tasks, including procurement, time and attendance, safety incidents, and contract labor. Additionally, the role assists with processing payments and other financial tasks, helps implement operational projects, and communicates with customers and employees regarding service issues and scheduling.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited)
  • No prior work experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located

Responsibilities

  • Assists in troubleshooting and resolving safety, service, and operational issues

  • Maintains the office and is the proxy for KRONOS for all daily updates for drivers and helpers
  • Is responsible for using Microsoft Suite and additional software tools to manage a variety of daily tasks, such as procurement, time and attendance, safety incidents, and contract labor
  • Assisting with the processing of payments and other financial tasks as necessary
  • Assisting in the implementation of operational projects as needed
  • Communicating with customers about service issues as needed
  • Communicating with employees about scheduling and work assignments as needed
