About The Position

The Operations Specialist/Watch Officer at Cayuse Shared Services plays a crucial role in providing administrative support to the USAID Command Center. Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance.
  • Proficient in utilizing automation to support operational planning efforts and product development.
  • Strong research skills and ability to conduct special research studies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Follows the direction and instructions of mid and senior level Watch Officers and Activity Manager.
  • Assists leadership by maintaining a common operating picture for the Command Center.
  • Responds to leadership requests for information, notifications, briefings, and shift reports.
  • Monitors open-source intelligence, news media, and DoS cables.
  • Maintains an active control and reporting on all activity logs and requests for information.
  • Coordinates requests for information from leadership, employees, and partner organizations.
  • Advises USAID leadership on the timing, scale, and scope of responses to biological incidents.
  • Accomplishes critical work related to the management of programs focusing on operational aspects.
  • Evaluates options and develops specific operational plans for emergencies impacting USAID operations.
  • Participates in the management of agency's emergency initiatives and develops timely program implementation strategies.
  • Coordinates with other U.S. Government agencies involved in biological incidents and emergency response.
