About The Position

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're an Operations Specialist II, we have an exciting opportunity for you. The Operations Specialist II solves difficult manufacturing problems by providing tooling and fixture solutions for machining, fabrication, assembly and test processes. The position supports production from a technical standpoint and has a solid understanding of the manufacturing, fabrication, assembly and test processes.

Requirements

  • US - High School Diploma
  • Experience of tool and fixture design for manufacturing, fabrication, assembly and test production or similar role.
  • Ability to apply GD&T
  • Enable to complete update complex drawings
  • Solid problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Develops Tool and Fixture solutions for manufacturing, fabrication, assembly and test processes.
  • Creates and releases detailed Tool and Fixture drawings, applying GD&T, in WWD Product Life Cycle (PLC) management system.
  • Resolves tooling and fixture problems on the manufacturing floor and assists in Root Cause Analysis.
  • Recommends and implements tooling and fixture improvements for manufacturing, fabrication, assembly and test processes.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement on existing tools and fixtures and implements changes.
  • Trains Level 1 Tool/Fixture designers and other members on Tool/Fixture design.
  • Evaluates new Tools/Fixtures for application to current designs.
  • Understanding of manufacturing specific processes, conventional milling, turning, grinding, and CNC milling, turning, grinding, including multi-axis machines and processes.
  • Understanding of fabrication, assembly and test specific processes.
  • Understanding of applicable automated or semi-automated manufacturing processes and equipment.
