Tax and Cost Basis Operations (TCBO) is part of the Custody & Asset Services division of Operational Services. The Withholding and Reconciliation is a niche group within Tax and Cost Basis Operations that serves to provide accurate tax reporting and reconciliations.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in the tax and/or cost basis industry
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred
- Expertise in tax reporting

- Proven tax and cost basis experience and knowledge framework
- Knowledge of IRS regulations in relation to broker/dealer reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility to work in an evolving environment as processes and procedures are developed
- Strong MS Excel skills, ability to work with large data sets
- Schwab Bank experience preferred
- Series 7 license preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide support to tax form production
- Work collaboratively and optimally with others
- Effectively leverage tools and resources
- Partner with internal business partners to ensure compliance with regulations
- Provide vision, review and ownership for projects and productions
- Provide support during peak volumes for withholding reconciliations and filings
- Review and validate Schwab Bank tax and withholding reconciliation
