Operations Specialist Senior, Claims
About The Position

Job Summary Under limited supervision, reviews claims and discharge documents/reports per department procedures and regulatory requirements. In addition, this position performs quality assurance duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Processes discharge request/reports. Reviews pending queue to release questionable claims for timely payment. Reviews supplemental, partial and Teacher Loan Forgiveness claims. Performs timely audits of specialists and associates’ tasks. Updates loan information on internal claims system. Processes claim reports. Performs post claim sampling review. Researches and resolves problems with claim records. Assists the lead and manager with training of new staff and testing of system enhancements as needed. Actively participates in projects assigned to ECMC from the Department of Education. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- 3+ years of relevant work experience
- Basic proficiency in mathematical skills and concepts
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically with Word and Excel applications
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of experience drafting professional written communication and providing verbal communications to internal and external clients
- 1 year of working in the student loan industry
- Working knowledge of student loan industry regulations
