About The Position

The Operations Specialist position at the Department of Defense is a critical role that involves receiving and processing Command taskings as a subject-matter expert. The incumbent will be responsible for providing reclama to the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) within seven days of tasking if the Command is unable to satisfy the tasking. This position serves as the G-3 Operations Specialist, advising and providing guidance on operational matters. Additionally, the Operations Specialist will act as the primary Action Officer, responsible for developing or updating policies and regulations that govern operations within the command. In this role, the Operations Specialist will execute various organizational administrative programs, which include planning for internal and external communications, tracking suspense items, and analyzing resource requirements. The position also involves assisting in the planning and conduct of combined and joint services exercises that involve the command and its subordinate commands. Furthermore, the Operations Specialist will provide coordination and continuity for ceremonial events, ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with established protocols and regulations. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with various stakeholders, ensuring that all taskings are completed efficiently and effectively. This role requires a high level of organizational awareness and the ability to communicate effectively across different levels of the organization. The Operations Specialist will also be evaluated on their competencies in administration and management, communications and media, and planning and evaluating.
