Join The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates (The League) as an Operations Specialist Intern and play a key role in supporting our team and offices. We are looking for an Operations Specialist Intern to provide excellent customer service to fellow team members and guests at The League's Tallahassee office. This position also serves as an administrative specialist and switchboard operator for the Birmingham, Duluth, Tallahassee, and Virginia offices. Interns will receive mentorship from experienced professionals and gain valuable leadership skills throughout their time in this role.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Professional receptionist and telephone techniques
  • Experience operating modern office equipment, including but not limited to, multi-line phone systems, facsimile machines, copiers, and computers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with internal employees and the credit unions we serve, with guidance from mentors to enhance your interpersonal and professional skills.
  • Functioning as a receptionist for the Tallahassee office and switchboard operator for Birmingham, Duluth, Tallahassee, and Virginia. Greet visitors, direct inquiries, and receive mentorship on how to handle operations effectively.
  • Monitoring and allowing building access as appropriate during business hours in the Tallahassee office, learning best practices in maintaining security in a welcoming environment.
  • Accepting and distributing deliveries of mail, packages, or other items, while receiving support and feedback regarding administrative tasks and time management.
  • Assisting with routine correspondence and outgoing mail as needed and approved by the supervisor, gaining insights into effective communication strategies and administrative support.
  • Performing administrative duties for all areas of The League and Service Corporation, learning to balance multiple tasks, and developing organizational skills with the support of your mentors.
  • Helping the Facilities Manager maintain a calendar of inspections and appointments for all offices by learning about scheduling and coordination.
  • Supporting the Executive Assistant with meeting coordination and assembly of meeting materials, acquiring skills in meeting planning, and event organization.
  • Participating in other duties and special projects as assigned, with opportunities to demonstrate initiative and leadership.
