About The Position

The Operations Specialist III is responsible for setting up new orders containing time-sensitive commodities for success, providing proactive customer updates on deviations, and tracking order status from start to finish. This role is crucial for the Airspace Operations team, requiring extreme attention to detail to ensure successful deliveries, potentially impacting critical situations like saving a human life. The operations team is the backbone of the company, and this role represents the company's values on the front lines, involving direct communication with customers, commanders, and service providers.

Requirements

  • Must be able to perform all Responsibilities included in the Operations Specialist II Job Description.
  • Advanced Problem Solving skills.
  • Ability to independently resolve escalated issues with minimal to no assistance.
  • Ability to assist in resolving team member escalations and questions.
  • Understanding of Margin vs Total Cost for an order and application to additional charge approvals.
  • Expertise in all International regulations, Import, and Export requirements.
  • Ability to understand big picture decisions for customers and balance speed, cost, and customer impact.
  • Minimal to no errors & service failures.
  • Ability to make educated decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to anticipate problems and act early.
  • Hold and maintain Dangerous Goods Certification.
  • Knowledgeable on all Dangerous Goods requirements and adherence to current policy procedures.
  • Ability to assist in resolving team member inquiries for DG flagged orders.
  • Gain knowledge of additional sector processes.
  • Provide SOP guidance.
  • Uphold team expectations leading by example.
  • Meet minimum metric requirements and customer service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all responsibilities included in the Operations Specialist II Job Description.
  • Advanced Problem Solving: Independently resolve all escalated issues using provided resources with minimal to no assistance.
  • Assist in resolving team member escalations and questions.
  • Understand Margin vs Total Cost for an order and apply knowledge to additional charge approvals.
  • Be an expert on all International regulations, Import, and Export requirements.
  • Understand big picture decisions for customers, balancing speed, cost, and customer impact without defaulting to escalations (e.g., choosing an airline based on service agreement for faster offloads and minimal service failures over the fastest or cheapest option based on error rate).
  • Balance cost of service quality and expectations with margin.
  • Achieve minimal to no errors & service failures.
  • Make educated decisions under pressure.
  • Anticipate problems before they surface and act early.
  • Operating the Airspace Platform: Hold and maintain Dangerous Goods Certification and remain knowledgeable on all Dangerous Goods requirements and adhere to current policy procedures.
  • Assist in resolving team member inquiries for DG flagged orders.
  • Gain knowledge of additional sector processes.
  • Provide SOP guidance hand in hand with leadership.
  • Uphold team expectations leading by example.
  • Maintaining Balanced Level of Performance: Meet minimum metric requirements and customer service standards, with expectations increasing with each advancement. All expectations will be communicated through the direct reporting supervisor.
