The Operations Specialist II with Aon Business Services – Affinity Integrated Services and will support our Specialty Professions Program Fort Washington, PA. This position is for a hybrid schedule, in office and remote throughout the week. Requirements

  • 2+ years of office or administrative work experience
  • Excellent reading comprehension and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with PC applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, OneNote, Outlook, and Teams
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and customer service focus
  • Demonstrated use of sound judgment skills with solid decision-making abilities
  • Ability to multi-task and independently prioritize work
  • Strong Independent problem-solving skills and ability to follow established procedures and guidelines
  • Basic Math Skills, including accurate computation and reconciliation
  • High School
  • Required to obtain the P&C license within 6 months of hire date

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Insurance industry work experience preferred
  • Property and Casualty license preferred
  • Some college or relevant work experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Processing Client Applications: Responsible for reviewing and decisioning client applications. This colleague assesses the needs of the client and can act as advisor and processor, depending on the request. The colleague must be licensed due to the advisory capacity he/she must fill. Applications will be handled both through an online portal and through manual issuance. It will be important to learn and follow established guidelines to use in accordance with decisioning applications. While templates are in place, due to the nature of the request, the colleague will need the ability to revise templates or create freeform responses.
  • Broker Ambassador: This role will also be responsible for maintaining our broker relationships. They will respond to broker emails, work with our internal team to onboard new brokers, and assist our accounting department with any financial backend processing that belongs to our brokered accounts (program wide).
  • System Support: Multiple systems will be used in daily processing. Once sufficiently trained, assist with user support, training of colleagues, system testing, and the implementation of process or system changes.
  • Reporting: Responsible for supporting daily reporting which may require running queries or tracking production and consolidating excel data into a viewable format.
  • Quality Control: Assists with answering daily questions from our East partners in a timely manner to ensure processing continues smoothly. Also, will support with reviewing quality of processed work from our vendor partners to ensure our customers’ requests are being met accurately and that standard operating procedures are being followed as needed.
  • Maintaining Procedures: Supports with reviewing and updating processing notes, templates, and reference materials to reflect changes in programs, guidelines, or system functionality.
  • Special projects as assigned: Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned, supporting process improvement and operational efficiency.
