About The Position

The Operations Specialist (Education) at BARBRI is responsible for managing the delivery of effective online courses and programs for law students. This role involves building relationships with partner schools and students, ensuring course setup, tracking attendance, and implementing course modifications. The specialist will also focus on student engagement and retention strategies, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to maintain program quality and meet organizational goals.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience in online or higher education environment including learning management systems, faculty engagement and quality assurance
  • Three years progressively responsible experience managing, administering, or coordinating online learning projects
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Experience with large, multivariable projects and the ability to collaboratively work with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work with adult learners with diverse skill levels as well as diverse cultural and professional backgrounds
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and active listening
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required
  • Familiarity with various LMS systems, D2L preferred
  • Familiarity with FERPA rules and regulations

Responsibilities

  • Manage implementation and maintenance of online course content in appropriate LMS in coordination with faculty and the BARBRI Instructional Design team
  • Develop and monitor schedules so that projects are completed on time with the highest quality and results in delivery of the programs
  • Proactively identify and resolve partner and implementation issues escalating partner needs and support as required
  • Monitor the overall student experience, including academic and programmatic success to create and support a smooth end-to-end student experience
  • Perform quality checks on all courses prior to launch including ensuring accessibility standards are met
  • Develop, review, and maintain systems and procedures to ensure course delivery aligns with required partner policies and procedures
  • Develop, recommend, and implement procedures and processes in support of recurring course delivery
  • Ensure goals are met in areas like student satisfaction, faculty performance and completion rates
  • Monitor instructional quality and coordinate with instructional design specialists to provide on-going support to online faculty as needed
  • Onboard, train, and support new faculty on learning management platform and other instructional technologies utilized
  • Interact with partner schools regarding grading policies as necessary, ensuring accuracy of grading reports
  • Assist in executing action plans for student recruitment and registration, enrollment, orientation, retention, and student support
  • Perform regular reviews of content with faculty to assess student engagement, gauge students' understanding and plan for changes/modifications of subsequent iterations
  • Assist/manage invoicing activities with various partner schools
  • Assist in overseeing and facilitating student exam periods as necessary, including focusing on exam security and seamless process integration for students.
