WHO WE ARE The Facilities Services Division is responsible for the daily operation, maintenance and security of the Hallmark Headquarters Complex. The complex is made up of multiple buildings, 2,300,000 sq. ft. of space. The division is made up of Building Services (custodial), Building Engineering (electricians, plumbers, carpenters, and telecom and general maintenance trades), HVAC, Moves/Resets departments, shipping / receiving, and the mail room services. The Operations Shift Supervisor – Facilities Services provides leadership and supervision for the Facilities Services Operation on 2 nd shift which includes the Building Services department, Building Engineering, and HVAC department. The Operations Shift Supervisor will have direct management responsibilities for 2 nd shift Building Services which includes 15-20 Building Specialists – Custodians. Indirect oversight of 2 nd shift Building Engineering (3 employees) and HVAC (2 employees). WHAT WE DO and HOW WE DO IT: The Operations Shift Supervisor - Facilities Services will be knowledgeable of the Building Specialist duties and familiar with Engineering and HVAC responsibilities. Match resources to workload as needed, coordinate with dayshift supervisors to prioritize the work assignments, train and develop employee job skills with support from the Building Specialist group leader. Ensure compliance training, regular work assignments, special projects, and inspections are being performed and completed in a timely manner. Exhibit professionalism in all interactions and foster a practice of open communication with employees to promote positive employee relations. Maintain effective working relationships with all managers with the Facilities Services division. IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL: Be responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations that are associated with maintaining the cleanliness, condition and functionality of the Hallmark headquarters facility. Meet or exceed departmental objectives by communicating job expectations. Performance management. Provide feedback, written and verbal, that accurately reflects the performance of each individual employee. Coach and counsel employees on a regular basis as needed. Initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures. Assign work duties to personnel; accomplish work results; establish priorities; monitor progress; revise work schedules and identify and resolve problems. Maintain staff by anticipating personnel requirements, look for out-of-the box solutions to handle challenges, keep Facilities Services leadership, Building Services Department Manager, and the 1 st shift Maintenance Supervisors for HVAC and Building Engineering informed of any needs. Participate in interviews, assess talent, orient and train current and new hires. Act as a representative of Hallmark to their direct and indirect reports and serve as the resource direct reports seek out. Knowledgeable about company policies and compliance laws / regulations across the various functional areas: Environmental, Safety, Human Resources, (such as Fair Labor Standards Act, Family Medical Leave Act, OSHA standards, etc.) that affects the work group and assures compliance with those regulations. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED or Equivalent
  • Associate’s degree OR a minimum of 3 years supervising direct reports
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in facilities management or corporate services or logistics
  • Experience in Maintenance or HVAC preferred
  • Ability to lead, coach, and mentor teams
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills –includes both verbal and written
  • SAP knowledge and experience
  • Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) Work Order System experience
  • Project management experience
  • Adept at seeing opportunities to improve upon the status quo and implementing solutions
