About The Position

The Global Operations Shift Lead reports to the Global Operations Lead and provides oversight and management for all program Global operations, including system health monitoring and status reporting. This role ensures operational availability, mission effectiveness, and accurate reporting across enterprise systems under operational control.

Requirements

  • Strong presentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in project management, planning, and resource management.
  • Experience leading personnel in operations and/or maintenance of large-scale computer and communications systems or networking environments.
  • Experience or knowledge of enterprise networks, systems, and cyber defense capabilities and management.
  • Ability to brief technical system and network issues and deliver overall system reports using tools such as Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint.
  • Practical experience directing the assessment and development of Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) and/or Operating Instructions (OIs) to administer and manage services under operational control.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and using JIRA.

Responsibilities

  • Direct day-to-day Global operations activities to ensure availability, quality, and security of services supporting mission systems, command and control (C2), and information sharing.
  • Collaborate with Regional CWO and Command Center leadership to maintain coordinated operational execution.
  • Maintain real-time awareness of system status and ensure leadership is informed of operational conditions.
  • Ensure all reports are accurate, complete, and delivered to program management and customer leadership.
  • Recommend appropriate courses of action in response to system and network issues.
  • Preserve operational integrity by ensuring personnel are trained, certified, and mission-capable.
  • Manage shift staffing and verify proper manning levels.
  • Conduct thorough shift change briefings to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Support rotating 12-hour shift coverage, including nights, weekends, and off-shift substitutions, with eventual 24×7 operational coverage based on mission needs.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
