About The Position

The Operations Senior Associate at U.S. Bank plays a crucial role in providing accounting, administration, and investor servicing for alternative investments such as hedge funds and private equity funds. This position involves calculating net asset values, disseminating financial information, and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The associate will manage multiple fund accounting functions and contribute to the preparation of financial statements and tax schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business-related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Two to five years of related experience, preferably in portfolio/partnership accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Calculate net asset values and disseminate financial and performance information to investment advisors and investors.
  • Act as primary fund accountant on multiple relationships, ensuring all fund accounting functions are completed in accordance with GAAP.
  • Record trade information, income/expense activity, and apply valuation of securities in the portfolio accounting system.
  • Enter and reconcile all investor contributions and withdrawals in the partnership accounting system.
  • Allocate fund level profits to individual investors for preparation and distribution of investor statements.
  • Review and coordinate fund expense analysis and expense processing.
  • Prepare fund financial statements, audit, and tax schedules.
