About The Position

Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC, a world-class supplier of power generation services, parts, and repairs, has an immediate opening for a qualified individual who desires to join a growing organization and is eager for diverse, technically challenging work. The IGT Division is seeking an experienced Scheduler/Planner to coordinate maintenance, repairs, and shop services for industrial gas turbine assets to maximize uptime and efficiency across the IGT Division. Incumbents will be responsible for creating and maintaining a detailed maintenance schedule (preventive and corrective), managing and tracking parts being repaired, collaborating with engineering, and making effective use of all CMMS tools to ensure all projects are completed within budget and time constraints. This role will be 100% on site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, production, or a related field, 5-8 years of Turbine project management experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Working knowledge and familiarity with gas turbine components, mechanical drawings, and maintenance procedures.
  • Proficient in CMMS (Primavera 6, MS Project, SAP, Maximo, etc.)
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, and/or project management within a power generation or manufacturing environment.
  • Must have the ability to interpret and translate technical specifications and drawings.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Must be available to meet any travel requirements associated with this role and responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Expertise in the use of the Primavera P6 planning tool.
  • Knowledgeable of Microsoft Project.
  • 3-5 years of Industrial Gas Turbine Industry experience.
  • Ability to understand the status of a project and link the schedule to the reality of the execution.
  • Strong expertise in planning a large project or portfolio, as well as using Primavera P6 as a database management tool.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating, updating, and coordinating schedules for all part repairs in support of two division facilities (San Antonio & Houston)
  • Develop daily, weekly, and monthly status repair schedules in support of internal and external customers.
  • Ensure necessary spare parts and materials are available to mitigate downtime.
  • Track and maintain accurate records of work orders and technical specifications, and generate daily, weekly, or monthly progress reports for all division stakeholders.
  • Analyze and improve turnaround time and schedule adherence through effective approaches.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations managers to plan, build, evaluate, and optimize project schedules.
  • Maintain and provide schedule analysis and metrics to key stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Trained and implemented end users, when necessary, on the use of planning software.
  • Maintain and update all repair schedules as needed across all job scopes.
  • Maintain continued communication among all internal stakeholders.
  • Capacity planning of the shops and project the repair schedules
