About The Position

The Operations Review Specialist position at the Department of Health involves analyzing and processing medical and allied health complaints, including complex cases related to hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. Requirements

  • Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of compliance management systems and licensing systems.
  • Understanding of laws, legal codes, court procedures, and government regulations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Conduct fact-finding research and organize data for reports.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work assignments.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience in data entry, case management, or document auditing.
  • College education may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and process medical/allied health complaints.
  • Consult with federal, state, and local organizations regarding reports/complaints.
  • Interpret and apply statutes, policies, and regulations.
  • Review documents and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct investigations and prepare investigative reports.
  • Provide technical assistance and consultative services.
  • Research and prepare reports of a topical or statistical nature.
  • Act as a liaison between professional boards, complainants, and licensees.
  • Evaluate and interpret laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Represent the agency at meetings and hearings.
  • Assist in the resolution of complaint issues.
  • Train staff on new forms and procedures.
