KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national security communities. In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role – protecting our national security. The successful candidate will be part of the KBR team supporting the Test Resource Management Center’s (TRMC) Big Data (BD) and Knowledge Management (KM) Team working on BD and KM systems supporting DoD Test Ranges and various acquisition programs. The successful candidate will support our customers with insights gained from analyzing DoD Test & Evaluation data. The ideal candidate is adept at collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders to identify analytic requirements and analysis questions that can be informed through the aggregation and analysis of large data sets collected during test events or exercises.

  • Enable the development of data-driven decision analysis products through innovative application of methods from data science, machine learning, and operations research.
  • Provide analytic consulting services, supporting analytic workflow and product development and testing.
  • Promote user adoption of methods and best practices from data science.
  • Conduct applied methods projects and support the creation of analysis-ready data.
  • Assist both analyst/technical and non-analyst/non-technical stakeholders with the analysis of DoD datasets.
  • Demonstrate analytical tools and convey analysis results to stakeholders and VIPs.
  • Gather use cases, requirements, gaps, and needs from stakeholders for larger development items.
  • Perform impromptu hands-on training sessions with end users.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Advanced degree in operations research, engineering, applied math, statistics, computer science or information technology.
  • Preferred 10+ years of experience within DoD.
  • Experience working with end users, gathering requirements and refining/operating data analysis tools or products.
  • Experience developing and interpreting the results of analytic products with DoD specific data types.
  • Experience as a military ORSA.
  • Experience working in government/defense labs and within their computing restrictions.
  • Knowledge of military force structure and/or tactical messaging.
  • Experience working with major DoD experimentation events, such as Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) events.
  • Knowledge of the Test and Training Enabling Architecture (TENA) and the Joint Mission Environment Testing Capability (JMETC).
