About The Position

Analyzes actual and predictable interacting operational activities of business to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for decision making through the application of logic and scientific or economic disciplines and techniques. Devises modeling and measuring techniques; utilizes mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematics techniques (linear programming, game theory, probability theory, symbolic language, etc.), and other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines. The Advanced Submarine Programs team works across the enterprise with key stakeholders and leaders to establish performance objectives, analyze performance drivers to identify improvement opportunities and levers, define and mature improvement strategies and key initiatives, and leverage that information to improve performance predictability. In this position, you will lead operational strategy development to increase submarine design and construction throughput, analyze constraints and opportunities, identify solutions, both internal and through partnerships, and lead stakeholders to execute the strategy. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant exempt experience
  • Master's Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Ph.D. and 0 years of experience
  • US Citizenship Required for this Position: Yes
  • One of the following may be used as an equivalent to Bachelor's Degree :
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

Responsibilities

  • Establishing clear linkage between business objectives and key performance measures
  • Analyzing performance to identify drivers and opportunities for improvement
  • Working with stakeholders to develop improvement and investment strategies that realize those opportunities
  • Leading internal teams and coordinating closely with initiative owners to develop and execute value creation plans, roadmaps, and business cases
  • Developing clear, concise analyses and reports on a broad range of topics and focus areas
  • Preparing materials for senior leadership and external senior stakeholders
