About The Position

The position holder is responsible to supervise and coordinate the station in relation to the company’s ground/flight operational and administrative activities such as: Ensure the correct execution of the various tasks concerning freight acceptance and handling. Ensuring flight and ground operations are performed in accordance in the company's quality system as described in the Ground Operations Manual. Required to be in compliance with all local and international rules and regulations relating to Safety and Security, and by monitoring the report of accidents, incidents and other ground occurrences, including reporting DG incidents, to the appropriate Authority as required. Responsible to the Official-in-Charge (OIC) for coordinating all activities, as outlined in the company’s emergency manual Chapter 11 Station Nearest Accident, in the event of an accident or incident in their station.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience in cargo aviation and ground operations
  • Professional and technical knowledge in regards to the air cargo industry
  • Be proactive and take initiative
  • Maintain professionalism and technical knowledge by attending regular Cargolux in-house trainings as required, attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks
  • The position demands a regular presence in the office and requires vacation and other absences to be planned so as to avoid conflicting with service needs.
  • This position requires the ability to walk, bend, lift/pull/push up to 50 lbs, and go up/down stairs.
  • Flexibility may be needed with working hours.
  • The position holder shall keep informed their line manager on their whereabouts and the means of telecommunications through which they will be reachable for urgent company needs, while on company mission.
