About The Position

An Asurion Operations Repair Technician specializes in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing defective wireless electronics, including smartphones and tablets, to meet high-quality standards. They disassemble/reassemble devices, replace components using hand tools, manage inventory, and follow strict safety procedures while utilizing proprietary software. Teal +2 Key Responsibilities Device Repair & Testing: Inspect, triage, and repair defective electronic devices (phones, tablets, wearables). Component Replacement: Disassemble, repair, or replace worn/defective components using hand tools. Quality Assurance: Ensure all repairs meet or exceed Asurion/uBreakiFix quality standards. Inventory & Logistics: Count, scan, and receive inventory while tracking devices, often via point-of-sale systems. Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex technical issues and provide solutions. Documentation: Maintain accurate, real-time records of repairs and customer information. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, especially in high-volume production environments. Teal +3 Requirements & Qualifications Experience: Generally requires experience in electronics troubleshooting, repair, or service support. Technical Skills: Knowledge of mobile devices, operating systems (iOS/Android), and diagnostic tools. Soft Skills: Strong communication skills for explaining technical issues, teamwork, and a customer-focused mindset. Physical Ability: Ability to work with small parts, use hand tools, and stand/sit for extended periods.
