Provides administrative and technical services to operations department by implementing administrative systems, procedures, and policies, and assists in the management of daily departmental operations. Essential Job Responsibilities: Prepares and files state regulatory forms in New Mexico and Texas, including required filings for new well completions, re-completions, multi-completions, saltwater injection wells, disposal wells, drilling permits, and Plug and Abandonment (W3A Intents to Plug and Abandon and final W3 plugging reports); along with well research and data required for these permits and filings. Prepares and files RRC Completion packets online (G-1/W-2 forms), Well Record packets, and NOIs with subsequent reports for workover operations. Assists with C-115B (NM) filings to meet regulatory requirements for vent and flaring. Notifies production analyst of new well completions, date well flows to sales, and all relevant data needed by production accounting. Sets up new Cost Centers for new completions/recompletions online and works with production analyst to ensure production is reported to the correct completion. Coordinates required well testing for mechanical integrity and bradenhead testing (H-5s and H-15s in Texas, yearly UIC testing in New Mexico). Coordinates set-ups for H5/H15 mechanical integrity tests, H15 fluid level testing on inactive wells and SWD/Injection wells. Maintains spreadsheet for operations department and conveys failed tests to engineers for possible rig work. Coordinates with field personnel and engineers to conduct initial potential tests required on new drill wells, uphole recompletions, and/or recompletions. Maintains accurate records of regulatory filings, permits and operational data for internal tracking and reporting. Monitors regulatory rule changes, analyzing potential impacts on the company operations and advising relevant departments. Files all miscellaneous regulatory filings for special projects, including P17 Surface Commingling Permits, site facility diagrams/Facility Drawings, surface and lease commingling permits, SWR10 Permits for downhole commingling, and sampling. Researches all the fields being commingled, collaborating with reservoir and operations engineers. Collaborates regularly with reservoir and operations engineers, providing research services for upcoming projects. Tracks and files renewal compliance regarding all inactive wells. In Texas, filing W3C forms and P5 renewal reports through the RRC LoneStar system; and in New Mexico, managing the demand inactive list with other assets to ensure we remain under the limit. Acts as a primary point of contact with regulatory agencies, providing timely responses to inquiries and maintaining good working relationships. Maintains a good relationship with land surveyor for any location plat updates and/or new drill wells as these plats will be needed for permitting, and coordinates with the surveyor for permitting needs. Collaborates with internal teams such as drilling, engineering, geology, land and operations to coordinate various filings and communicate potential regulatory impacts. Works closely with drilling engineers when a new well is proposed to ensure that everyone is aware of all regulatory needs and requirements, and ensures scheduling of surveyors is coordinated for the staking of the well location. Coordinates with vendors as needed to get the information required for these filings (such as staking a location or surveying a site). Schedules the rig supply water well to be drilled before the drilling rig arrives on location. Some rig supply water wells will need to be permitted depending upon their county. Works with engineers on Waterflood Projects and EOR (Enhanced Oil Recovery) Projects. Researches and assists in resolving compliance issues, investigating test failures, regulatory violations and recommending corrective actions. Organizes work by reading and routing correspondence, collecting information, initiating and responding to various emails, and telecommunications. Enters authority for expenditures (AFEs) and routes in our internal SAP program when received from team engineer or field operations. Sets up and manages Wellview and/or Siteview jobs/daily work folders so that field operators and consultants can enter their daily/work reports. Coordinates special projects as assigned by Area Operations Manager. Adheres to the company's values – integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation. Supports company vision and mission.
