The Operations Quality Technician plays a vital role in ensuring that Insulet Corporation's manufacturing processes meet established quality standards. This position involves performing inspections on incoming materials, in-process products, and final outputs to ensure compliance with corporate policies and federal regulations. The technician will work in a cleanroom environment and may also support various manufacturing functions as needed. This is a second shift position, requiring attention to detail and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced setting.

  • Inspect and record results of work on incoming raw materials, in-process, or lot qualification at various stages of production.
  • Assess and complete inspection reports and records, entering data into various electronic systems such as Word, Excel, SAP, and Oracle Agile.
  • Generate, review, and maintain quality records in support of the Quality System, including device history records and training records.
  • Ensure equipment calibration status is within the timeframe of use.
  • Assist the Quality Manager during notified body and regulatory authority audits and inspections.
  • Work from specifications, work plans, procedures, and general instructions from Quality Engineers, Quality Supervisor, or Quality Manager.
  • Maintain and enforce cGMPs and follow standard operating procedures for quality standards, material handling, and record keeping.
  • Notify Quality or Operations Leadership of any discrepancies to maintain quality standards and safety of operations.
  • Maintain a clean work environment suitable for medical device manufacturing and cleanroom production.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Basic mathematics skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing).
  • Proficient in English to read documentation, communicate, and write.
  • Self-starter capable of dealing with a variety of tasks in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal instruction from their supervisor.
  • Familiarity with measurement instrumentation such as micrometers, calipers, tensile testers, video microscopes, and optical gauging products.
  • Experience working in a lab setting environment in the medical device industry.
  • Ability to use stereoscopes and varying microscope setups.
  • Competitive salary range of $17.16 - $25.82 per hour.
  • Shift differential pay for second shift work.
