About The Position

Venture Global LNG is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Operations Project Planner, Mechanical. The Turnaround Planner, Mechanical reports to the Maintenance Planning Supervisor and is responsible for the effective planning of Mechanical Turnaround work at the Venture Global Calcasieu Pass Liquefied Natural Gas (CPLNG) facility. This role involves collaboration with other Routine and Turnaround Maintenance Planners, Technicians, and Supervisors within the Operations & Maintenance Departments.

Requirements

  • Minimum a high school diploma or GED; Technical degree or a nationally recognized standard (such as NCCER) is preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of Mechanical field maintenance work experience in Oil and Gas or petrochemical facilities.
  • Minimum three (3) years of Mechanical Turnaround maintenance planner work experience in Oil and Gas or petrochemical facilities.
  • Knowledge of industrial standards, code regulations (i.e. API, ASME, FERC, NBIC).
  • Strong applied work knowledge in Turnaround Planning, Scheduling, and Execution processes.
  • Experience with scaffolding, painting, insulating, heavy equipment operation.
  • Oracle Primavera (P6) applied work experience is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification or similar is a plus.
  • Routine maintenance planning/scheduling experience is preferred.
  • Experience in commissioning, startup, and maintenance of Oil & Gas or petrochemical facilities.
  • CMMS/SAP applied work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Builds turnaround work packages and assists with scheduling of Mechanical Turnaround work according to Venture Global HSSE process and procedures.
  • Leads, facilitates, and coordinates risk-based strategic and tactical Turnaround work selection and planning meetings.
  • Strict adherence to VGLNG business controls, approved contracts/suppliers.
  • Owner of the Long-range Planning process for Mechanical Turnaround work.
  • Identifies potential constraints/deficiencies that could impact the turnaround schedule and recommends corrective actions.
  • Works in close coordination with turnaround stakeholders while developing turnaround work packages.
  • Develops turnaround cost estimates and classifications according to CPLNG Turnaround Work Management process and procedures.
  • Initiates procurement of planned parts and materials required for Turnaround.
  • Reports contractor work quality/non-compliance issues during Turnaround.
  • Participates and/or leads CPLNG Ready for Operations (RFO) maintenance projects.
  • Assists with the pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and initial operation of the CPLNG Facility.
  • Provides mentoring and coaching to junior peers and counterparts.
