The ERP Operations Engineer will support the CGI Government Cloud Services Program by providing day-to-day operations support for clients using the Government Advantage ERP software suite. This role involves working in UNIX/LINUX environments, managing client operations activities, and ensuring compliance with service level agreements. The position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with geographically distributed teams, particularly during the initial overnight shift before transitioning to a daytime rotation post-project go-live.

  • Run, support and mentor operations team members to ensure client activities are completed according to standards and contractual obligations.
  • Automate recurring tasks and procedures as per SaaS standardizations.
  • Proactively monitor operations via IP Automations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain self-service use cases.
  • Develop and maintain self-healing situations.
  • Oversee day-to-day client operations including batch processing cycles and maintenance windows.
  • Proactively identify issues by analyzing trends using JIRA, OAPM & IAP tools.
  • Coordinate with teams for all production deployments impacting clients.
  • Work with datacenter personnel to support client needs.
  • Address SLA-bound technical incident reports or requests from clients.
  • Supervise the health and stability of client environments and remediate issues as they arise.
  • Manage client's backup processing to meet SLA requirements.
  • Address client requests for technical assistance such as file recovery and user ID management.
  • Support other technical teams by providing necessary documentation and logs.
  • 1-3 years experience with Containers, Kubernetes/docker, or Rancher platform.
  • Proficient scripting abilities in Linux shell scripting, Python, Perl, and Go languages.
  • Experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server databases and SQL DDL/DML writing.
  • Experience automating IT processes using tools like CA Autosys or similar job management tools.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and techniques such as Jira and Git.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple workloads.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team lead or member.
  • Experience with CA Autosys or similar job management tools for scheduling and monitoring.
