About The Position

The Operations Planner will be responsible for planning and scheduling factory floor activities, ensuring proper utilization of resources, and providing analysis for material that needs to be re-planned based on availability. The role involves collaboration with Customer Care and Purchasing to ensure timely material delivery and effective management of shop orders and inventory. The Operations Planner will also oversee ERP planning functions, develop plans according to forecasts and sales orders, and manage production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements. Continuous improvement and collaboration with various teams are key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years experience within manufacturing in planning, logistics or related roles.
  • Relevant experience in materials planning, scheduling, logistics, or supply chain within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Very strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office products and ERP systems.
  • Minimum High School Education; University degree preferred.
  • Understanding of manufacturing operations and methodologies.
  • Ability to manage and analyze data.
  • Highly developed analytical abilities.
  • Well organized with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to problem solve individually and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and scheduling factory floor activities.
  • Capacity planning to ensure resources are properly utilized.
  • Providing analysis for material that needs to be re-planned based on availability.
  • Working with Customer Care to ensure shop orders and picking support stock item needs.
  • Collaborating with Purchasing on supply expediting to ensure timely material delivery.
  • Working with the Warehouse Manager on processes for manufacturing and non-manufacturing materials.
  • Reviewing and overseeing ERP planning functions for accuracy and execution.
  • Developing plans according to forecast and sales orders.
  • Managing customer order inquiries and providing feedback on lead times.
  • Creating and managing COs, DOs, and SOs as required.
  • Managing ERP inventory planning level demands.
  • Reviewing and maintaining inventory accuracy via cycle counts.
  • Managing FPO and correcting transaction errors.
  • Conducting data review and reporting for performance assessment.
  • Collaborating with sales, production, distribution, and purchasing teams.
  • Promoting continuous improvement in planning and scheduling practices.
