About The Position

Eaton's Electrical division is currently seeking a Operations Materials Manager to join our team in Richmond, VA. The Material Operations Manager is responsible for managing the internal materials & scheduling processes required inside an Eaton factory in order to drive the maximum adherence to the Master Production Schedule provided by the Network Planning team through the SIOP process. The expected annual salary range for this role is $93,750 - $137,500 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited institution.
  • Minimum five (5) years' combined experience in Materials, Operations and/or Supply Chain Management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum three (3) years of manager of people experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in supporting cross-functional SIOP and Inventory management processes.
  • Technical knowledge of forecasting techniques, bill of material structuring and scheduling execution.
  • SAP knowledge.
  • In-depth knowledge of plant manufacturing processes and value streams from raw materials to finished product.
  • APICS CPIM Certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage materials flow and transactions inventory to support the plant's operations by deploying lean material flow.
  • Administration of direct/indirect and Maintenance, Repair & Other (MRO) purchasing function according to policies and practices determined by Eaton standards.
  • Direct purchasing of materials from engineer to order products focusing on strategic partnerships.
  • Generate short-term production scheduling aligned the plan defined by the Network.
  • Monitor execution of production schedule defined by the Network (schedule labor on factory floor, monitor execution of the production plan).
  • Escalate material availability to the Center of Excellence (COE) and Network teams.
  • Drive forecast attainment aligned with the Master Production Schedule (MPS) resulted from the Supply, Inventory, & Operations Planning (SIOP) plan.
  • Execute shipment schedule aligned with the customer priority dates aligned with the network and customer service team.
  • Champion and deploy continuous improvement leveraging tools such as internal assessments, Materials Management Assessment (MMA) / Operational Assessment (OPA), visual management, standard work and value stream mapping.
  • Maintain target inventory levels and meeting On Time Delivery (OTD) goals for both internal and external customers and overall freight targets (including premium freight) aligned with the plan defined by the network.
  • Responsible for plant owned data health activities including but not limited to routings and WMS system, MRO, shipping and receiving, part movements, production scheduling.
  • Point of contact to escalations related to execution of the overall Supply, Inventory, & Operations Planning (SIOP) plan.
