The Operations Material Handler I is responsible for the delivery of raw materials, palletizing, documentation, and storage of finished goods in a manufacturing environment. This role involves operating various equipment, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and effectively communicating with team members to maintain production efficiency.

  • Perform tasks involving the delivery of raw materials and palletizing finished goods.
  • Operate energized and non-energized Forklift and Palletizing equipment including Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, and shrink wrap machines.
  • Follow written and verbal procedures to ensure quality and efficiency standards are met.
  • Monitor and fix faults in palletizing equipment and clear material jams.
  • Utilize Oracle production tools and wireless handheld RF scanners to generate labels and account for inventory.
  • Conduct required quality checks to assure standards are met.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist with general housekeeping across the plant.
  • Communicate any delays or problems that hinder production to facility personnel.
  • Support mechanics in maintenance activities and report equipment in disrepair.
  • Relieve other production team members for breaks and absences as required.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 3 - 5 years of Forklift Driving experience.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve moderate to complex issues associated with processors and related equipment.
  • Knowledge of GMP's, HACCP, and SQF programs.
  • Ability to stand and work for long periods of time (12 hours) and lift 30-50 pounds frequently.
  • Knowledge of allergen procedures and cross-contamination prevention.
