The Operations Material Handler is a crucial role within Jack Link's Protein Snacks, responsible for the safe and efficient handling of materials in the warehouse. This position involves unloading incoming products, picking orders based on customer requirements, and loading products for shipment. Material Handlers also perform cycle counting and variance reporting, ensuring that all operations adhere to safety and quality standards.

  • Safe operation of material handling equipment including stand up forklifts, pallet jacks, and high reach trucks.
  • Operating and maintaining RF Scanner (handheld warehouse computer).
  • Accurate and timely selection of customer orders.
  • Working on both the Receiving and Shipping docks as needed.
  • Unload trucks and validate deliveries against appropriate documentation, notifying the supervisor of any discrepancies.
  • Ensure products are correctly labeled and identified for proper storing and use.
  • Distribute the items received to the person or department for which the item was ordered.
  • Pick daily shipments, verify counts, and prepare pallets for pick-ups, marked accordingly to customer and transportation requirements.
  • Load finished goods onto trailers within specified timeframes.
  • Perform and report cycle counts.
  • Follow daily operations schedule and achieve specified goals.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist with maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Follow company and OSHA safety rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 3-6 months experience operating material handling equipment preferred.
  • Experience working in a warehouse or distribution setting preferred.
  • Excellent attendance and dependability.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions while working independently.
