  • Enforces existing policies, managing daily operations for the machine build area including planning the use of material and human resources.
  • Drives continuous improvement, productivity, efficiency, and profitability of operations using DMAIC and Lean Six Sigma methods and strategies.
  • Plans, directs, and facilitates communication between General Manager and Machine Build, Electrical and Fluid Power departments.
  • Identifies and eliminates waste from daily operations, driving operational efficiency.
  • Facilitates corporate and business unit communication to the Machine Build, Electrical and Fluid Power departments.
  • Supports project managers with planning, status reporting, and rectifying personnel issues.
  • Establishes and maintains a teamwork culture plant wide through leadership, experience, positive attitude, encouragement, and training.
  • Sets goals, monitors work, and evaluates performance data to ensure productivity, efficiency, and profitability expectations are met.
  • Works with Machine Build, Electrical and Fluid Power departments to determine staffing requirements, interview, hire, mentor, and train new employees.
  • Utilizes strategic and tactical communication vehicles such as project boards and weekly staff meetings.
  • Supports the Company's compliance to federal, state, and local environmental requirements.
  • Contributes to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the BU management team.
  • Participates in the annual financial planning process as a member of the BU management team.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Design, Engineering or related experience or equivalent.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and data processing.
  • Practical knowledge of budgeting, cash-flow regulation, maintaining balance sheets and monitoring the profit and loss statements.
  • Ability to create a good plan and determination to accomplish goals.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Good data analysis, planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good leadership qualities with the ability to provide directional knowledge of budgeting, cash-flow regulation, maintaining balance sheets and monitoring the profit and loss.
  • MS/MBA preferred.
