About The Position

The Operations Manager at Reliable Power Systems is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the Generator Installation, Electrical Services, Generator Services, and Plumbing departments. This position focuses on driving operational excellence, ensuring efficiency, and delivering exceptional results across multiple service lines. The Operations Manager will manage day-to-day operations, implement improved processes, and maintain a safe working environment while mentoring and training staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in light construction.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in operations management, preferably in the electrical or generator services industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial management and budgeting.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management, or related field preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Generator experience preferred.
  • Electrical certification and license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of Generator Installation departments and oversee Service Managers for Electrical Services, Generator Services, and Plumbing.
  • Develop and implement improved processes for job distribution, resource allocation, and technical support.
  • Monitor departmental performance against budgets and job-level profitability targets.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all departmental reporting and paperwork.
  • Oversee job processing, billing, and revenue forecasting on daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Train, mentor, and coach employees on proper job execution, documentation, and financial procedures.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, make promotion/raise recommendations, and hold regular one-on-one meetings with management staff.
  • Participate in daily team huddles and leadership meetings.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and conduct regular team meetings and ride-alongs.
  • Review daily sales, closing performance, and technician accuracy.
  • Manage staffing schedules, approve time off requests, and process incentive payouts.
  • Interview, hire, and train new team members as needed.
  • Resolve client issues/concerns in a timely manner.
  • Provide regular status reports to upper management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with company goals and procedures.
