About The Position

Management of all operational phases of project activities in support of the Fort Benning and Camp Merrill Department of Public Works customer and prime contractor. Ensures organizational effectiveness by providing leadership to staff executing work features identified in the Performance Work Statement and accountable for project profit and loss. Provides direct support to the prime contractor while meeting internal requirements of the company. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates strong leadership abilities with a focus on motivating teams and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Must be able to exhibit problem solving skills, provide solutions, coaching, mentoring, and development of staff to enhance performance and support career growth.
  • Exhibits sound judgment and the ability to make decisions confidently, even under pressure.
  • Has in-depth experience, knowledge, and skills in operational management.
  • Works independently with minimal guidance to determining work priorities.
  • Experience working with union personnel, union agreements, and labor relations.
  • Able to adapt to work environment to determine customer needs.
  • Monitors and controls project costs.
  • Must have 10+ years relevant experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance to access all areas of Ft. Benning.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates effectively with teams, leadership, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity.
  • Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
  • Determine standards, budgets, and goals based on equipment and personnel.
  • Enforce environment, safety, and health regulations.
  • Interpret specifications, job orders, company policies, and procedures for workers.
  • Maintain operation data such as time, production, cost records, and prepare management reports of production results.
  • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production requirements and goals.
  • Recommend or implement measures to manage performance and motivate employees to improve production methods, product quality, and efficiency.
  • Evaluate project needs for hirings and promotions.
  • Prepare requisitions for ordering materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services.
