Operations Manager

About The Position

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of the organization to ensure efficiency, productivity, and profitability. This role involves managing their departments’ local P&L statements and KPIs, developing and implementing strategic initiatives that align with company objectives, and leading field operations teams. The Operations Manager will play a key role in ensuring operational efficiency, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Must have a satisfactory background/MVR check.
  • Must pass a pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, and/or random drug test.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Associate’s degree required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the electrical engineering industry.
  • Detailed knowledge of work being performed in the field.
  • Regular travel to project sites required.
  • Flexibility and availability to work beyond regular business hours.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing operations team.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and performance evaluations for team members.
  • Develop best practices and strategic initiatives for future growth.
  • Oversee the implementation and execution of plans from start to finish, including schedules, resource allocation, and workflow management.
  • Ensure timely and efficient project completion.
  • Maintain and enforce quality standards and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage department fleet and test equipment needs and condition.
  • Manage operational budgets and control costs.
  • Monitor financial performance and make data-driven decisions to achieve targets.
  • Monitor equipment rental costs and develop CAPEX requests.
  • Manage billing, local P&L, and change orders.
  • Work with teams to achieve initiatives and improve quality and efficiency.
  • Resolve issues promptly and implement process improvements.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of safety and develop and enforce safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with safety managers to address safety incidents promptly and implement preventive measures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Additional responsibilities and tasks as required to support the organization's goals and adapt to evolving business needs.
