About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced Operations Manager to oversee all warehouse and distribution activities at our Life Science logistics facility. This critical role is responsible for managing the precise, secure, and compliant handling of pharmaceuticals and other life science materials and products. The Operations Manager is the driving force behind daily execution, leading supervisors and associates to achieve peak performance in a GMP environment and requires balancing operational efficiency with strict regulatory compliance; and requires expert knowledge of cGMP standards and managing complex cold chain logistics. This role is responsible for maintaining documentation accuracy, climate-controlled storage, and audit readiness while driving throughput, productivity, and financial results. The ideal candidate combines hands-on warehouse leadership with strong business acumen—managing budgets, analyzing KPIs, and influencing P&L performance. This leader sets clear expectations, builds accountability, and ensures the warehouse operates safely, efficiently, and inspection-ready at all times.

Requirements

  • B.S./B.A. in supply chain management, business or related discipline.
  • 8-10 years of operations management experience in a warehousing, logistics/distribution, and/or supply chain environment.
  • Experience in highly regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or medical devices

Nice To Haves

  • Dangerous Goods/Hazardous Materials Certification preferred.
  • Certified Designated Representative (CDR) licensure is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance: Directing all receiving, put-away, inventory management, picking, packing, and shipping processes to strictly adhere to FDA regulations, GxP guidelines, and client-specific Quality Agreements
  • Operational Excellence: Driving efficiency and accuracy through the effective use of the WMS, implementing lean methodologies, and optimizing physical workflow and layout.
  • Quality Collaboration: Serving as the primary operational liaison with the Quality Assurance team to ensure prompt deviation reporting, root cause analysis, and timely implementation of CAPA.
  • Leadership & Development: Recruiting, training, and developing a high-performing team of supervisors and associates, fostering a culture of accountability, precision, and world-class safety.
  • Inventory Security: Maintaining extremely high inventory accuracy, managing cycle counts, and ensuring the physical security and traceability of all high-value and temperature-sensitive assets.
  • Oversees Productivity Indicators
  • Provide leadership to Inbound and Outbound operations of the facility. Manage all metrics and other benchmark measures to track performance.
  • Manage operational strategy to achieve financial, quality and supply performance according to defined customer expectation targets.
  • Work with Sr. Operations Manager to identify areas of process improvement for greater efficiency and productivity.
  • Display adherence to all security guidelines as mandated by the TSA, Homeland Security, and various customers.
  • Determines prioritization of work to support the client’s forecasts/order volumes.
  • Ensure work is performed by team members in accordance with all Langham policies and procedures.
  • Ensure departmental adherence to budget and budgetary restraints, ability to manage budgets.
  • Maintains Customer Expectations
  • Serves as the point of contact for client requests and represents Langham Logistics at customer meetings and quarterly business reviews to provide information and updates on productivity and performance of the operations.
  • Responsible for managing daily and weekly calls/reports to the customer
  • Continually monitor KPIs of Inbound and Outbound operations and adjust priorities and resource allocation accordingly to fulfil customer supply chain demands.
  • Facilitates exceptional response to routine and non-routine client requests for data, fulfilment, reporting, customer service support, problem resolution/investigations, and other operational or quality initiatives.
