About The Position

We are seeking a results-driven Operations Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations and drive efficiency, productivity, and quality. This role is responsible for optimizing operational processes, supporting preventive maintenance programs, and ensuring adherence to quality management systems to maintain reliable equipment performance and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supervisory Management, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant manufacturing or operations leadership experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Strong expertise in: ISO 9001 and Quality Systems Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Process Optimization
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with manufacturing systems such as ERP, MRP, CMMS (SAGE 100 preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Direct all manufacturing activities to ensure production, safety, quality, and performance standards are consistently met
  • Review and coordinate daily production schedules; adjust as needed to meet customer demand
  • Analyze current manufacturing processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency, reduce downtime, and standardize workflows
  • Monitor production costs and product quality; adjust inventory and production control programs to meet financial and operational goals
  • Lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Operations teams
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and federal/state regulations in partnership with EHS
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to establish and track operational performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities
  • Support and coordinate preventive maintenance (PM) programs for equipment and facilities
  • Monitor quality metrics, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions for operational or quality issues
  • Drive improvements in inventory management and CMMS functionality, including training, documentation, and system enhancements
  • Lead and manage employees across Manufacturing Operations, including Slitters, Cold Mill, Lab, and Packing in a 24/7 operation
  • Provide overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department
  • Hire, train, coach, and develop team members
  • Plan, assign, and direct work while monitoring performance
  • Address employee concerns, resolve issues, and support a positive work environment
  • Partner with leadership across departments to support overall plant operations
