About The Position

MDW Associates is seeking an Operations Manager to support the Office of the Secretary of War Research & Engineering (OUSW(R&E)). Specifically, this position supports Business Operations to streamline business processes across the organization. The Operations Manager will oversee and manage the daily operations focusing on improving overall performance and achieving strategic goals. The Operations Manager may perform a combination of some or all of the following duties: Analyzing existing operational workflows, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity. Developing and implementing quality assurance programs, monitor product or service quality, and ensure adherence to established standards. Contribute to the development and execution of long-term operational strategies aligned with broader OUSD(R&E) goals. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance, analyze data, and generate reports for senior management. Identify potential operational risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure business continuity. Ensure operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, industry standards, and internal policies Provide key organizational and knowledge management (KM) functions. Recommending KM technology, where applicable. Develop, recommend, and implement modifications to current procedures and policies to improve efficiency; develop and maintain comprehensive standard operating procedures (SOPs). Ensure adherence to government security regulations (e.g., National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs)) and develop/implement policies for safeguarding sensitive information. Develop and implement programs for Operations Security (OPSEC), which includes protecting critical program information Conduct compliance reviews, self-inspections, and follow-up actions to ensure facilities and procedures meet security standards.

Requirements

  • A minimum of Ten (10) years of demonstrated experience as an Operations Manager is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing existing operational workflows, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a management or technical discipline (e.g., Science, Mathematics, or Engineering field)
  • Candidates for this position must hold an active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

Nice To Haves

  • A master's degree from an accredited college or university in a management discipline is preferred.
  • A Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification is preferred.
  • Four (4) years of specialized experience, including military or industry experience, may be substituted in lieu of specific educational requirements.
